Function / Content

This series consists of subsidiary registers maintained by the Mining Registrar, Tennant Creek. Subsidiary registers were kept by mining registrars in the major centres of the Northern Territory. Mining Registrars recorded transactions in their district's subsidiary register and then updated the relevant tenement registers. Volume 1 contains the following sections; agreements (nos 1/40-7/68), applications to amend register (nos 1/72-903/79), applications for license to treat tailings (nos 1/50-2/59), caveats (nos 1/40-118/82), orders of court (nos 1/48-1/79), declarations of loss (nos 1/40-2/80), devolutions (nos 1/42-1/82), discharges (nos 1/41-1/81), exemptions (nos 1/40-3/82), injunctions (no.1/60), mortgages (nos 1/40-1/81), objections (nos 1/40-1/81), rights of pre-emption (nos 1/47-1/74), reinstatement of leases (nos 1/45-1/58), seizures (nos 1/40-1/56), sub-leases (nos 1/62-1/80), transfers (nos 1/40-78/81), union of claims (nos 1/58-2/58), amalgamation of leases (nos 1/41-1/76), Warden's Court Plaint book (nos 1/40-1/81), and withdrawals (nos 1/40-7/82).
